Private-Label Wood Products: From Product Brief to Approved Sample

Start with an existing bamboo or acacia product direction, or submit a drawing for a new construction. A logo alone does not define a production-ready program: material, functional fit, finish, packaging and inspection criteria should be agreed together.

Define your material and finish

Specify the material, visible color range, surface feel and edge treatment. Catalogue materials and dimensions are development references. Alternative species, adhesives and coatings must be reviewed for supply, construction and intended use; they are not automatically available for every model.

Prepare branding artwork

Provide a vector logo where possible, the intended position, size and color reference. Engraving or printing is selected after reviewing the surface and artwork. Use the logo and branding options guide to prepare the brief, then approve an actual application sample.

Develop the packaging

Choose bulk protection, a retail box or an e-commerce pack. Supply label copy, barcodes and artwork, and identify accessories or hardware that need separate protection. Confirm pack fit, carton quantity and shipping dimensions after sample approval—not from an assumed universal box size.

Compare Quotations on the Same Specification

Send quantities per SKU, size and finish rather than a single total across different products. Include your destination, delivery terms and required timing. MOQ, sample fees, tooling where needed and production schedules are confirmed for the reviewed project; no fixed low MOQ or free-sample promise applies to every order.

Our custom wood-product RFQ guide helps separate product requirements from assumptions. Specify which features are mandatory and which can be adjusted to meet the target budget.

Compliance Documents Must Match the Product

Identify the destination market and actual use before requesting testing. Food-contact components require a review of material, adhesive, finish and relevant testing scope. Bathroom and furniture-like products may need different functional checks. A test report for one model or coating does not establish compliance for an entire range.

If certified wood sourcing is required, request the certificate holder, scope, validity and relevant supply-chain documents for review. This page does not claim that all products are FSC-certified or that FDA/LFGB documentation is available for every model. See the EU and US compliance planning guide for questions to include in the specification.

Approve Product, Branding and Packing Together

Keep a written record of approved dimensions, functional fit, color variation, logo placement, packaging and acceptance criteria. Agree how revisions are handled and whether the final sample includes production-equivalent packaging. Use the pre-production sample approval checklist and wood-product inspection checklist before authorizing bulk production.

For ocean shipping, packaging and moisture-risk controls must reflect the material, finish, route and storage conditions. Review the moisture-control and mold-prevention guide; it is a planning reference, not a guarantee that any one packing method prevents all damage.

Before supplier approval, request the factory evidence relevant to your product, rather than relying only on a company-wide capacity figure.

Buyer FAQ

Resolve key questions before production.

Can I private-label an existing bamboo or wood product?
Existing models can be reviewed as starting points for branding, size and packaging changes. Feasibility, material availability and the final specification are confirmed before quotation.
What do I need to send for a private-label quote?
Send the product or drawing, material and dimensions, quantity per variant, logo artwork, packaging brief, destination market and required timing.
Is there a fixed minimum order quantity?
No single MOQ is promised for all models. Material sourcing, construction, finish, logo setup and packaging determine the project-specific minimum.
How are logo and packaging samples approved?
Confirm logo size and position, surface appearance, pack fit, label copy and protection using the agreed sample scope. Record approval criteria and revision terms before production.
Are certification and food-contact reports included?
Documents must be reviewed for the actual product, material, coating, certificate holder and destination market. No blanket FSC, FDA or LFGB claim applies to all products.
How are sampling and production schedules agreed?
Sample fees and timing are confirmed after reviewing the brief. The production schedule depends on approved samples, material availability, packaging and order quantity.
